We are deeply saddened by the passing of Allyson Harvey, a cherished young life whose warmth, kindness, and inspiration left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Born on July 16, 2007, in Queensland, Allyson departed this world far too soon on March 20, 2026. In her short life, she created a legacy defined by compassion, dedication, and joy, touching the hearts of her family, friends, and community.

Allyson was a passionate and dedicated former player of the Wests Juniors Australian Football Club. Joining from Moggill in 2022 at the U15 level, she quickly became an integral part of the team, eventually playing with the U17 squad. Her milestone of 50 games, celebrated in June of last year, is a testament to her commitment to the sport she loved. Beyond her athletic achievements, Allyson demonstrated remarkable sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership, inspiring her teammates both on and off the field.

Outside of football, Allyson devoted 13 remarkable years to the Girl Guides movement, serving across Happy Valley, Kenmore, and Moggill Districts. She contributed to her community in countless ways—from selling Girl Guide biscuits and participating in Snow Trek adventures to supporting Boomerang Bags initiatives and representing her community as a medal bearer at the INAS Games. Allyson also honored tradition through ANZAC City Marches and Gunfire Breakfasts, reflecting her strong sense of service, respect, and responsibility.

Allyson will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, fairness, and unwavering kindness. She had a rare gift for uplifting those around her, offering encouragement, friendship, and joy with sincerity and warmth. Her adventurous spirit and enthusiasm for life were evident in every camp, gathering, and shared moment. Even in small, memorable ways—like introducing the unique combination of jam and Vegemite on damper—she left joyful memories that will endure.

Coming from a devoted Guiding family, alongside her sister Emma and mother Cat, Allyson carried forward a proud tradition of community service and leadership. Though her life was brief, her impact was profound, and her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, teammates, and the wider community.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Harvey family during this difficult time. May the memory of Allyson Harvey continue to inspire kindness, courage, and unity, and may her life be remembered as a shining example of compassion, dedication, and joy.
