Wayne Richardson, Lake City Obituary: Beloved Resident Has Died
With heavy hearts, the Lake City community mourns the passing of Wayne Richardson, 76, who died on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at his home in Lake City, Minnesota. Wayne’s passing marks the end of a life that was rich in love, work, and cherished moments with family and friends.
Born on May 9, 1949, in Lake City to Russel and Rosemarie (Glander) Richardson, Wayne spent most of his life in the area he loved. Known for his strong work ethic and his devotion to those around him, Wayne spent many years as a machinist at Federal Mogul, where he contributed greatly to the company before retiring in 2014. His career was a testament to his dedication, and his legacy at work will be remembered by colleagues and friends alike.
Wayne’s greatest joy was the time spent with his loved ones. On August 9, 2011, he married his wife, Rhonda Linderman, and together they created a life filled with love and adventure. Wayne enjoyed riding his motorcycle, embracing the freedom it gave him and the opportunity to connect with others who shared his passions. His easy-going nature, combined with a deep love for his family, made him someone many were drawn to.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Rhonda; his sister, Debra Richardson of Santa Ynez, California; his children, Fran Richardson and Jerry Richardson; his grandchildren, Courtney Richardson, Danielle Richardson, Frankie Richardson, Tristan Richardson, and Christina Linderman; and four great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Allen Richardson; his sister, Kimberly (Tom) Green of Monroe, Georgia; and his step-daughter, Angel Linderman.
Wayne’s legacy lives on through the family he loved so dearly and the memories shared with those who knew him. His gentle spirit, infectious laughter, and kind-hearted nature will be deeply missed, but his impact on the lives of others will remain forever in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
As his family and friends gather to mourn his loss, we also celebrate Wayne’s life, his laughter, and the ways in which he made the world a better place simply by being in it.
Funeral arrangements are being made, and the family requests privacy during this difficult time. Wayne Richardson will be forever missed, fondly remembered, and loved by all who had the honor of knowing him.
