Maxwell Henley Galveston County, Crash Death: Maxwell Henley Has Died In A Fatal Crash
A tragic motorcycle crash in League City has claimed the life of 19-year-old Maxwell Henley, following a brief police pursuit on the afternoon of March 23, 2026. Authorities in Galveston County are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
According to reports, the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office was requested by the League City Police Department to assist with the investigation after the crash occurred in the 900 block of West Main Street at approximately 3:40 p.m.
Officials stated that officers initially observed two motorcyclists traveling eastbound along the north-side sidewalk of FM 518 before entering the roadway at a high rate of speed. Due to the dangerous manner of travel, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop. However, the pursuit was quickly called off because of safety concerns and hazardous conditions, with law enforcement opting not to continue the chase in order to reduce the risk to the public.
Shortly after the pursuit was terminated, one of the motorcycles crashed. The rider, identified as Maxwell Henley, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
The second motorcyclist, identified as 22-year-old Carsen Drucker, was later apprehended by League City police. He has been charged with evading arrest using a vehicle and is currently being held on a $250,000 bond. Authorities also revealed that Drucker had an outstanding felony warrant from Harris County for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
Multiple units from the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, including the Crash Team, Major Crimes Unit, and Crime Scene Unit, are actively investigating the incident. Detectives are carefully examining all available evidence, including the condition of the motorcycles, roadway factors, and any additional elements that may have contributed to the crash.
Investigators are also seeking assistance from the public and are encouraging anyone who may have witnessed the motorcycles or events leading up to the crash to come forward with information that could aid in the investigation.
