It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lisa Marie Noel, aged 59, of Bangor, Pennsylvania, who passed away on Saturday, March 21st, 2026, at her residence. Lisa’s death leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, whose life was defined by kindness, generosity, and an enduring love for her family.
Born on June 16, 1966, in Denville, New Jersey, Lisa was the daughter of the late Andy and Susan (Ferraro) Tierney. She was a woman of great warmth and spirit, whose presence brightened the lives of everyone around her. Lisa’s love for life was evident in her passion for nature, spending countless hours gardening, enjoying the outdoors, and playing with her beloved dogs.
Lisa’s dedication to her family was unwavering. She shared 33 years of marriage with her husband, James H. Noel, whom she deeply loved. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, love, and joy. Their union was a testament to the strength of their bond, having celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary this past December.
Lisa’s children were a central part of her life. She is survived by her daughter, Justina Jozowski, wife of Corey, and her son, James M. Noel, both of whom were the pride and joy of her life. Lisa was also a proud grandmother to her three grandchildren, Reagan, Lynkoln, and Wylee. Her love for them was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with them, making lasting memories that will continue to bring comfort to her family.
Lisa worked as a valued member of the National Park Service in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, where she was employed in the maintenance department. She had a strong work ethic and was dedicated to her job, where she took pride in helping maintain the beauty and natural wonder of the area.
Lisa is also survived by her sister, Jen Billings, and her brother, Jeff Tierney, who, along with the rest of the family, will miss her deeply. Lisa’s family and friends remember her for her vibrant personality, her love for life, and her selfless nature. She was someone who always put others first and was the type of person you could count on in times of need.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, March 25th, from 4 to 6 PM at Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., located at 4 Lillian Lane, “Village of Johnsonville,” Bangor, PA. The interment will be private, in keeping with the wishes of the family.
As we remember Lisa, we celebrate her life, her love, and the beautiful moments she shared with those around her. She may no longer walk among us, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
