Joseph Manuel Obituary, Beaumont, TX Shooting Death: Joseph Manuel Has Died In A Tragic Shot

BEAUMONT, TX — Joseph Manuel, 31, was tragically found dead inside a west-end Beaumont home Tuesday morning after reports of gunfire. Authorities have identified a second suspect and have issued a murder warrant, the Beaumont Police Department confirmed.

Police responded around 7:45 a.m. on March 24 to the 1900 block of Rafes Way after receiving calls about shots being fired. Officers discovered Manuel inside the residence with fatal injuries.

Investigators quickly developed a description of a potential suspect vehicle. Using the city’s license plate readers, they located the vehicle on the 5400 block of Pine Street. Seventeen-year-old Bryson Parkerson of Beaumont was arrested without incident for Tampering with Evidence linked to the homicide.

Further investigation, including video footage and witness interviews, identified 24-year-old Corey Comeaux as another suspect in Manuel’s death. Authorities have issued a murder warrant for Comeaux. Officials believe more individuals may be involved, and additional charges are anticipated.
