Timothy S. Delp Pennsylvania, Death Obituary: Cherish Resident Has Died

 

Timothy S. Delp, 69, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026, at home, surrounded by loved ones. Born on January 2, 1957, in Harrisburg to the late Chalmer and Frances (Bergstresser) Delp, Tim lived a life marked by faith, service, and compassion.

A graduate of Dauphin County Vo-Tech and Harrisburg Area Community College, Tim retired from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission after 35 years of dedicated service, most recently serving as Director of the Enterprise Solution Support Group (ESSG).

Tim was a man of deep faith, attending Harrisburg First Assembly of God with his partner, Tammy. He had a lifelong love for animals, especially dogs, and volunteered extensively with the Humane Society of Greater Harrisburg, Zoomania, and Stella’s Coach, transporting homeless dogs across the East Coast. He also supported the Central PA Animal Alliance.

Known as the self-proclaimed “CEO of retirement,” Tim enjoyed spending time with close friends singing karaoke, playing Telefunky, and DJ’ing with his long-time friend, Billy D. Those who knew him recall a man of generosity, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family and community.

Tim is survived by his two daughters, Brittany A. Spinillo and her husband, Stephen, of Haymarket, VA, and Mollie A. Delp and her partner, Joseph Balata, of Chattanooga, TN; his partner, Tammy Care of Harrisburg; two brothers, Tom Delp of Harrisburg and Dan Delp and his wife, Ann, of Harrisburg; and two grandchildren, Reece and Cassidy Spinillo.

A celebration of Tim’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Harrisburg First Assembly of God, 4100 North Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the church.
