Jenna Strouble Indiana: Indiana Woman Charged in Crete Township Triple Homicide
CRETE TOWNSHIP, IL — Authorities have charged 30-year-old Jenna Strouble of St. John, Indiana, with first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of three people found in a Crete Township home early Monday.
Detectives from the Will County Sheriff’s Office obtained arrest warrants for nine counts of first-degree murder related to the deaths of 32-year-old Jacob Lambert, his mother, 54-year-old Stacy Forde, and her husband, 55-year-old Patrick Forde.
Preliminary investigation suggests the killings were targeted. Strouble reportedly made incriminating statements during an interview with detectives. While the Will County Coroner has not yet released official causes of death, investigators recovered a firearm linked to the homicides.
Officers responded around 2 a.m. Monday to the 3400 block of Norway Trail for a welfare check. Lambert was found dead in a car in the driveway, while his parents were found deceased near the front door of the home.
Strouble had an on-and-off relationship with Lambert, with whom she shared two young children, 3-year-old Rhett and 4-year-old Ella. After the incident, she fled to her home in St. John, Indiana, where local authorities took her into custody. She remains in the Lake County, Indiana jail and will be extradited to Illinois.
