It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Murdock Donald “Don” Murdock, who peacefully passed away on March 20, 2026, at Melaleuca Court Nursing Home at the age of 87. We extend our sincere condolences to his beloved wife Joyce, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all whose lives he touched.

Don was a devoted husband, sharing 65 years of marriage with Joyce—a bond built on love, trust, and mutual respect. To his children, Tony, Kym, and Michelle, and their partners, he was a loving and supportive father who offered constant guidance and care. He will be remembered as a man of warmth, kindness, and gentle humor, whose presence brought comfort and happiness to those around him.

As a grandfather and great-grandfather, Don’s love spanned generations. He cherished his grandchildren—Skye, Nick, Amber, Rhyce, Rohan, and Pierce—and took great joy in his eight great-grandchildren. His wisdom, love, and values will continue to live on through them, forming a lasting legacy of compassion and family unity.

Don also showed deep care for his community. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) in his memory, honoring his generous spirit and commitment to helping others.

A funeral service to celebrate Don’s life will be held at Warooka Uniting Church on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Family, friends, and members of the community are warmly invited to attend and pay tribute to a life well lived.

Don Murdock will be remembered for his devotion to family, kindness to others, and enduring love. Though he will be greatly missed, his memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
